"EMERGY": A wordplay combining "energy" and "emergence." In nature, when the phenomenon occurs where multiple parts come together to form a larger whole, creating a kind of higher intelligence, such as in a flock of birds, it is called emergence. This energy-charged sense of emergence is what we feel in the playing experience of our Soundrise Trio. Each of us has composed two pieces, Markus Stockhausen brought "Spielberg," and the improvisation "Sunrise" emerged from our shared flow in the studio.
